Whiskey aging kits aren’t new, but most miniature barrels are designed to look good on a shelf, not to actually hold and mature spirit. This one is different. We’re offering a professionally coopered 2.5-gallon American oak barrel, paired with enough Kings County Distillery bourbon distillate to fill it at home.

With 10 bottles of distiller’s proof moonshine (70% abv), you can top off the barrel with water, proof it to taste, and age the whiskey entirely on your terms. Smaller barrels impart flavor faster, meaning you might have a mature whiskey in 1–2 years ,or you can choose to let it rest even longer.
