Alcohol shipping’s a little different. Carriers charge more, and spirits are very regulated, requiring us to use licensed channels for some states that route orders through retailers. Our shipping rate is standard, and while it’s not next-day delivery, your whiskey will get there safely (usually within 10 business days, sometimes earlier). Moonshine most often refers to illegally-made spirit, but is also a term of art for distillate intended to be consumed neat, a concept familiar in other cultures, but often looked down on in whiskey. In the United States, corn whiskey is a legal class of whiskey that must be at least 80% corn and can be unaged, a nod to our tradition of moonshining. Our moonshine is a corn whiskey made from 80% New York State organic corn and 20% malted barley. Moonshine reflects the skill and ambition of the distiller. Any whiskey can be improved with barrel aging, but white whiskey is a distiller’s most challenging spirit and a measure of the distiller's talent. Like silver tequila or white rum, or even some eaux-de-vie—it is a purist’s spirit.

Pot Distilled
Traditional Techniques
Kings County embraces a variety of whiskey cultures and blends them into creative, distinctive whiskeys. We distill for quality over yield using true pot stills manufacturer in Scotland (Forsyths) and Kentucky (Vendome).
Mashbill
We source directly from farmers in NY and maltsters in the UK because we believe that good choices start from the very beginning. We source our grains locally in NY when we can because we believe distinctive ingredients make better whiskey. Here's a breakdown of what grains goes into making this product.
80% Corn
We source our corn from Lakeview Organic. The same farmer we've been using since day one. Klass and Mary-Howell Martens have cultivated a generational farm that grows 100% organic, non-GMO corn right here in the state in the Fingerlakes region.
20% Malted Barley
Our grain comes from Thomas Fawcett Maltsters in the UK. Specifically, we use Golden Promise malted pale barley. Our high-malt mashbill borrows more from Scotch whiskey than traditional bourbons who typically add a flavoring grain such as rye or wheat.
