Kings County
Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first
since prohibition. Founded in 2010,
Kings County makes handmade moonshine and bourbon out of the 113-year-old Paymaster
Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The distillery uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment
to make distinctive whiskey. Our
moonshine won “Best in Category” for corn whiskey at the 2011 American
Distilling Institute’s Craft Spirits Conference and Kings County won silver
medals for both whiskies at the 2013 Conference. Distillery tours
are offered every Saturday afternoon (more information below). Where

of our bourbon and moonshine are currently on sale at the following
locations. Please call ahead, as stores may be sold out at some locations.
Outside New York State, we suggest ordering through Astor Wines & Spirits, Park Avenue Liquor Shop, or DrinkUpNY who can ship most places.

If your favorite
bar or restaurant is not listed, please have them get in touch with us. Distillery Tours The distillery is
open for tours and tastings from 2:30pm to 5:30pm every Saturday. We don’t have a phone and tours are very
informal. No reservations are
needed. Tours, which include a tasting
and admission to the Boozeum, are
$8. Tours last about 45 minutes and
run every 20-30 minutes. Note the distillery
will close early on May 4th for a private event. The last tour will Please enter the Navy Yard through the Sands Street Gate. Our “address” on Flushing is misleading—and

the first building past the gate at Sands St. and Navy St. Closest subways are AC at High St. and the

We are prohibited
from delivering or shipping our products, and we aren’t able to open the
distillery for sales, tours, or tastings except for the dates listed on this
